Should I be getting better performance from my rig?

Hello,

I recently upgraded my video card, but the performance isn't what I expected.

In Far Cry 3, Battlefield 3, Hitman Absolution I'm only getting 20 FPS.

My gear:
i3-550
Radeon HD 7850
Gigabyte GA-H55-USB3
8GB Ripjaw RAM @ 1333

Considering a CPU/MOBO/RAM upgrade, but not sure if it's necessary.

The games your playing recommend Quad Core Setups. Sadly the I3-550 is only a Hyperthreaded Dual Core.

and having said that.............. I don't know about the other 2 but FC3 won't be delivering very high frames to begin with.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Figured I'd hit up the think tank here first. I'll probably just do a system overhaul, since 1156 is dated, and better processors for cheaper are on the 1155 boards.
