Should I be getting these temps?

I ran my 4790k at stock on auto voltage and get 26 idle, and when I run prime 95 torture test on 100% load I get an average of 60 degrees, Is this good?
Can I overclock my CPU in the future?
I have a h100i GTX water cooler by the way!

Actually I've heard 1.3 volts is about as high as you wanna go to keep it stable.

As far as temps, 80 degrees C is pretty much the max, and that's spiked. You don't want to run constantly that high. I would try to keep it 75C or below for a temp under constant load.

For the record, I know you don't want to break your CPU. No one here wants that either. We can only share our opinions based on experience and let you make your own decisions. If you don't feel comfortable messing with this stuff, I wouldn't do it. That being said, a 4.4GHz overclock is pretty common for your CPU. Many people have done it without damaging anything.

Are you sure? I dont want to break it? and obviously I wont go over 1.3vlts
What IS a good stable voltage you would suggest for a 4.4 ghz oc

Hello,
In my Opinion the Temperature is a bit high for a water cooled stock i7 4790k but still nothing to worry about. Even my Air cooled CPU is under load at 55-60 degrees. Did you maybe put too much Thermal paste on ur CPU or maybe installed the Water Cooling components not 100% Correct? Where did you installed your radiator maybe you got some issue with the airflow means that the radiator is consuming more hot air than cool?

For Overclocking i would recommend you 1.3V until 4.7Ghz at stable CPU Temperature´s and you should go really well.
