Should I be worried? Installed CPU but cover fell on it.

I was installing my G 3258 processer and it was in. I went to lower the bracket but then the black cover fell on the CPU. I quickly removed the cover and searched a video how to pull the lever and the CPU was seated.

Should I be worried? The top of the CPU is fine, now I just need the PSU to test it. I just want some confirmation from you guys To say it should be working. How much force does can a black cover force?

its just that little piece of plastic in the cpu socket right? should be perfectly fine. CPUs are durable these days you could drop that thing and it would still work

Look at the pins. If any look like they're bent then it won't work. But if it was seated properly the chances of this are extremely low. Just clean the surface of the CPU before you try to install the CPU cooler.
