The GeForce RTX 20 series graphics cards are hitting the shelves soon which made the price of older cards getting lower. The price of 1080 card is really good right now in my country. That is why I decide to build a PC with these components. I will be gaming and doing normal stuffs on a 2k monitor.

My components are:
- CPU: Intel i5-8400
- Mobo: Gigabyte B360 Aorus Gaming 3
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 Bus 2666 Cas 16
- GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8G
- PSU: Andyson GX600 (for free if i buy Gigabyte B360 Aorus Gaming 3)
- Case Infinity Stone RGB 3X- Tempered Glass Gaming Case
- SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 250GB 3D V-Nand - Sata3 SSD

It is reasonable to purchase those components now? Thanks

That is a great card to match with a 2k monitor, but like you said the 20 series are about to hit the shelf. If that deal on the 1080 will be around for awhile, see what the 20, series has in store. I don’t typically encourage waiting for future generations of cpus or gpus, but this is so close it might be worth it just to see if any of them turn out to be a better price/performance. My gut tells me they wont, because you are essentially paying for the underdeveloped ray tracing tech. but noone knows until the reviews are in.

Well, the deal won't be around for long, I guess they are trying to sell those 1000s cards out to prepare for the next generation. The thing is that I don't think I will play a lot of those new games that support ray tracing, this is my first built and I haven't try current games like GTA V or Tomb Raider 2015 yet. And the price of 2070 should be a problem too, cause it will be a little off my budget. So?
