Hello everybody. I have had my computer for about 2 years now. I run my computer along with 3 1920x1080 monitors. I just upgraded my gpu and power supply a couple of months ago. I would like to nearly max my games out at 5760 x1080 my current hardware is not entirely capable of this. I can play gta v but with crossfire on I get a hefty amount of studdering, I'm not sure if it is a v ram limitation due to only having 4gb or if it is just a crossfire issue. Any way my friend says my cpu would start becoming a limitation at those resolutions it is a cpu that was released in 2013 however it still runs good with about 40 to 70 percent usage at the most in gta v. So I was wondering if I should sell my current pc and build a newer pc that is more geared towards my needs. I know that I probably won't be able to run gta v at max settings while getting a constant 60 fps depending on weather I have vsync on or not. So these are the specs of my current pc.

Cpu- i7 4770@stock speeds
Ram- 16gb corsair vengeance
Mainboard- gigabyte Z87X-D3H
CPU cooler- Coolermaster hyper 212evo
Gpu- r9 295x2 8gb or 2x4gb liquid cooled
PSU- evga 1300 watt g2 supernova
Case- CoolerMaster cosmos se full tower ATX
Storage- 1.5tb WD hdd- 1tb WD hdd- 256gb adata ssd
OS- windows10 pro 64 bit

So I was thinking of selling this part by part or all at once and then with the money I get from selling it I would put towards the new build here are the specs of that.

Cpu- i7 5820k
RAM- 32 gb gddr4-2400 corsair CPUcooler- corsair h100i liquid cooler
Mainboard- gigabyte gigabyte GA-x99 UD3 lga 2011 v3
GPU- 2x GTX 980 ti 6gb in sli
Storage- x2 Seagate 2tb 7200 rpm
SSD- samsung 500 gb ssd
Case- corsair 780T ATX full tower
PSU- evga supernova 1300 watt g2
OS- windows 10 pro 64 bit

So do you guys think that this would be a good idea or a bad idea please let me know

-thanks

Anyone, who said that your i7 4770 is already a bottleneck are plain idiots.
The micro stuttering should come from other issues like perhaps VSync, etc.
VRAM usage on GTA V on that resolution..well..I do not know..perhaps..but in this case, going for newer GPU with more VRAM could help...btw..R9 295 is still relatively extremely strong for today's games.
I have also doubts that you are really already in need of more VRAM...and...I do not know if R9 295 is running like R9 290Xs as XFire (2x4GB == 4GB) or like a single card (8GB total), I will let someone with better knowledge to give you the enlightenment on this.

Edit:
GTX980Ti or GTX980Tis on SLI is not a bad idea but the processor is still powerful and far from being a bottleneck.

Yep, no bottle neck here. I'm wondering if it is just crossfire acting up tbh.

Are you running the newest drivers? What other modern games can you play with crossfire. I know GTAV is quite hungry, do you get higher fps when you lower your graphics to medium? If you still get stuttering then the issue is with crossfire/drivers/something else.

thanks for the fast replies i am very new to this site. I play just cause 2 and i get anywhere from 80 to 190 fps with no shuddering maybe some here or there but nowhere near as bad as gta. Yes I am also running the latest drivers catalyst 14.7.1 I think those are the latest supported drivers because the other ones they offer are still in beta. However if I turn my graphics settings down in gta I get a higher fps for a while but sometimes it jumps down into 40 fps, it doesn't go any lower than 40 however I can still notice a difference. So like if I switch from trevor to franklyn I almost always get fps drops that pause my game for one second. Well It doesn't pause my game but it makes pretty noticeable mouse lag
