As intel have annouced the 5 generation processor, I was wondering if is really worth it to build a PC or should I wait until there is a decent 5 Gen processor.

I have a budget of 4K to build a computer.

This are some of the hardware I am thinking to buy if I going to create a PC right now:
CPU: i7-4790k
GPU: GTX 980
Motherboard: Asus Maximun VII Hero

Solution
$4k to to build a PC? That is X99 territory.

Just to give you an idea.

I wouldn't wait for the next best thing, because there is always the next best thing around the corner. If you want to spend 4k on a PC you can go crazy with watercooling and a X99 DDR4 build with multi-monitor setup.

The three parts you are thinking of would make the base of an excellent performer. You should think if you want to do a heavy overclock, or if you want a quiet pc for example. I would invest most in a good monitor setup with 2 or 3 monitors in eyefinity or nvidia surround.
