Question Should I build Late 2021 or Late 2022?

I know I’ve asked this before but I want to start fresh. I can get a 240Hz monitor or build a pc one year or the other. Which should I choose?

Get the monitor.
Prices on pc parts today are nutty.
In a year maybe things will come back to normal.

What is your current Rig not doing that you need/want? Or is just money burning a hole in your pocket?

Now is a terrible time, but I don't know when things will get better.

You could do something in between.........

If you have to have an upgrade, you could get an i7-10700K and new MB for under 500 at microcenter. 10700k has double the passmark score of your current CPU. Reuse all your other parts. (or comparable AMD chip, 3800x?).

Then I would turn around and sell your 7700k/MB to help recoup some costs.
