Hi, i value response time and want less motion blur. Should i just buy the highest refresh rate monitor i can?

I'm currently using GTX 1070Ti on 1080p 60hz, i want to upgrade the monitor to a 1080p with higher refresh rate.
I'm not going for 1440p because i consume a lot of 1080p media (also i don't think there's 2k movies, only 1080p and 4k), i don't think it gonna scale well on 1440p.

I assume the 1070Ti can scroll a webpage at 240fps just fine. But what about gaming? 1070Ti can barely hit 100fps on high demand games, will there be a different on 144hz and 240hz monitors (with G-Sync on)?

1070ti will run games like valorant @ 240 fps that too without even stressing the GPU. But if you don't play competitive games there's no point getting 240 Hz. The picture quality won't be as good as it's mostly be TN or a poor quality IPS at best. Imo the best way to enjoy AAA games is to get a IPS or VA curved panels but those will have ghosting.
