I am planning to upgrade my cpu and I am in dilemma whether I should go with 2600 which is 70$ chepear compared to 3600. Other concern is the motherboard for3600. I have spent a good time in forums and i see that the bios for b450 are unstable. X570 mother boards are costly so I am thinking whether I should go with 2600 with msi b450 pro carbon ac or asus rog strix b450-E for peace of mind. Please advice.

Solution
I have a n Asus ROG Strix B450-F (the B450-E is even better) with a 2600 (OC'd to 4 GHz) and a GTX 1660 Ti rig that I was very happy with.
If you game at 1080p/60Hz, then that combo is more than enough.

I recently upgraded to an Asus ROG Strix X470-F with a 3700x and a RTX 2060 Super.
While my new rig is definitely better, I will say that I could have easily lived with my 2600/1660 Ti the next year or 2 without any issue.

As far as the BIOS being unstable, that is not correct.
If you get a B450-E with a Ryzen 5 2600, then you need to use BIOS 1201 which is by far the best BIOS I used on my B450-F with my R5 2600:

Thank you Dman for sharing valuable information & insight. I was saying b450 is not stable for Ryzen 3000 series which I came across many forums. I usually dont upgrade a cpu & motherboard for atleast 5 years. So do you think I should go with 2600 because I could save around 120$ if I am not going with 3600 & x570.

If you want longevity, buy the most you can afford. The 3600 is a good bit faster and will help in years.

My 4.2ghz 2600 has done very very well so far. Performs valiantly and my RX480 8gb struggles to make the CPu budget past like 30% usage.

I had my 3700x installed on my ROG Strix B450-F for about 3 weeks while I was waiting to get my X470-F and the B450-F had no problems at all running my 3700x.
As far as the 2600 vs 3600 question goes , I personally would buy the 2600 for now and then in a year or 2 you could upgrade to a 3700x or even a 3800x depending on the prices at that time.
