Should I buy a 4790K for my mobo?

So, I have a budget of $1250, I've so far come up with the following
CPU: G3258/4790K
CPU cooler: H100i GTX
Mobo: MPOWER MAX AC/lower tier MSI gaming board (7 or 9)
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 (getting a 2nd in the future)
HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM 3.5" Drive
Case: Corsair 450D
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W
Anyways, I'd like to stay within my budget, and I'm wondering if I should get the 4790K or G3258 and a lower priced Mobo and put money elsewhere?

Definitely go with some better than g3258. I would ditch the i7 and go for i5 4690k (I use it with my sli 970s). If you going to sli 970, I would recommend an asus hero motherboard which you should be able to afford if you ditch i7.

For gaming, get an i5-4690k and a better motherboard + PSU. An ASRock Z97 Extreme6 motherboard and XFX TS 550w PSU are quite good.

well here's what I'm thinking, The MPOWER Mobo is capable of SLI, same with all of the MSI mobos. Also, the MPOWER and the 4790K are a deadly combo when OC'd, which would always be nice. I might just go with the other MPOWER mobo and drop down to the 4690k. But thank you, regardless
