Should I buy a AMD Rizen system as a entry level gaming rig?

Sorry for the broad question but I'm a noob about this stuff. My budget is around $500 to $600 tops for a entry level gaming rig. So far I'm finding better deals for AMD Rizen chip and GPU systems. Why are they so much cheaper than Intel systems?

Are the AMD's system ok for gaming?

AMD is good for gaming. what LCD are you going to use at what rez do you want at 1080p the ryzen 3 2200g will work on mid game graphics setting with out a add in GPU. that cpu is cheap at $100. US add ram and mobo,PSU,case, ssd,OS win10 will be best. if you needc more gaming power you can add a GPU.

Ryzen is definitely fine. AMD is currently the way to go for budget mid range builds. I just made this quick as for reference. Cases and psu's you can usually find deals on like the examples here. 2200g is a fine entry lvl cpu. If you can squeeze the extra 60$ the ryzen 2600 would be nice to have. The rx570 gpu is also fine and about 50$ less if you wanted to cut costs.

thank you all for the input. Looks like the best path is self build. I'm a little scared to build my own pc but I think I can do it since it will be the better option to go with.
