Should I buy a new motherboard for the same CPU ?

Hello everyone,

My PC runs with a Core 2 Duo Processor at 2.93 GHz and I want to upgrade a few things. Lately I've been thinking about buying a new motherboard with DDR3 RAM sockets to extend my CPU's lifetime, but I don't know if that's a good idea.

What do you guys think ?

Not a good idea to invest in a Core 2 Duo right now. E7500 right??

Processor for sure. And if you do that it would mean new mobo, new RAM's maybe a new PSU as well.
