Should i buy a refurbished monitor from Newegg?

I am looking at buying a refurbished monitor ASUS VG248QE from Newegg. I've looked at the reviews and there are only around 7 reviews with 3 stars or less. Some have it where the monitor has green lines and the others saying its amazing. I dont know what to do, it looks like a great deal for a 144hz 1ms monitor. (ASUS VG248QE). I am saving over $100. EVERYTHING IS IN CAD.

It's my personal opinion, but monitors are the one thing I wouldn't buy refurbished. At least not without seeing it first hand before buying anyway.

1. Newegg 'reviews' are worse than useless.
2. Refurb by who, exactly? The manufacturer, then consider it.

How did this turn out for you?

I just bought this monitor today without seeing the reviews prior. I knew the model number of the monitor I wanted and when I saw it for that price I jumped on it without realizing that the refurbishing job they are doing is supposedly poor.
