I have been eyeing 2 different monitors that can produce a 144hz refresh rate. The two monitors are the ASUS MG248Q and the AOC G2460PF. The Asus monitor is about $200~ (REFURBISHED) while the AOC monitor is $210~ (BRAND NEW). Which one should I buy? The reason I am posting this is that I am skeptical of buying refurbished products since I have never bought a refurbished product before.

The warranty on refurbished tends to only be about 60 or 90 days in most cases. It appears the Manufacturer warranty on the AOC is 3 years. You will want to do some research and see exactly what is covered and if you think it is worth the $10 difference.

FWIW both monitors use good panels (from AUO) and have been reviewed well.

I have been researching and I like the ASUS monitor more, but it being refurbished kind of scares me. The AOC one is good too as I have seen from some reviews, but some say that it tends to fail after a couple of months by either flickering or having dead pixels. Personally, I just want to have your guys' opinions on whether to buy the better but refurbished monitor or the new but OK monitor.
