Should I Buy a ssd or black hdd for my computer.

I'm going to make a computer so I need some help in storage. I'm a gamer and also does stuff like photo editing and all. I searched and it said that Black HDD are more faster than blue or green hdds. Is black hdds is slower than ssd or should I buy a normal blue hdd and put a ssd. Which one will be the fastest. My English is too bad

It usually depends on budget. If you can afford a 500GB or 1TB SSD, then go for the SSD. If you can only afford a 120GB SSD, then the 7200RPM HDD will be the simpler choice, but will be slower.

Black's tend to be with highest RPM from WD.
Blue's are at 7200RPM.
Green's are 5400RPM.

I'd go with what my colleague above has stated, get a medium sized SSD for OS, apps and games and a large mechanical platter HDD for storage/library.

I agree with the others above. A 10000rpm drive is your best bet for a traditional spinning platter HDD. Make sure you get a 6 Gbps SATA connection as well (SATA III). Blacks are traditionally Western Digital's "Server"/"NAS" drives. Meant for high speed throughput.

Now I dont think I have the budget to buy a good ssd. So first Ill buy a black hdd and after when I get the money for a ssd, ill buy it. Is it okay if I do this? and thanks for the info. it really helped me

Explanations is been fully given, now YOU make choice. There is no right or wrong.

If u going to get SSD later, I suggest plan ahead, partition your HD for C: and D: place OS+Apps on C: and everything else, big videos, large datasets, like if games ask, where do you want me to store maps, say D: This will make your life easier later when time to move to SSD.
