Should I buy a used 1070?

From where I live the 1070 would sell for $650± CAD ($503.88USD) used. Would it be a good idea for me to buy the 1070 or should I wait for the 11 series

nope dont buy 2nd hand as probly been abused by a miner. Save your $ for a brand new card or wait for the next gen to come out & save for that. Tho I recomend if you want to jump brands & go AMD if you can find a RX580 as they are good cards & under rated for how good they go I switched brands a while ago to AMD & recomend them as worth looking into if your not bias between brands.

Concur with Plumboby - DO NOT BUY USED GRAPHICS CARDS!! The one and only exception is if you personally know the person selling the card and they bought the card new. Also, that price for a used 'mined out' card is way too high. If they were fair, they would sell it for no more than $300 and state it had been used for mining. Also, always check to verify that the manufacturer honors 2nd owners (and beyond) with regards to the card's warranty. As far as I know only EVGA honors warranty and RMA claims for subsequent owners of their cards. Whatever you decide to do, good luck, and you have been adequately warned about buying used graphics cards!
