Hello guys.

I need an advice about buying a second hand system from someone.
He offered me a threadripper x2950 + Asrock taichi x399 for a really attractive price. Cheaper then Ebay.
He is someone who is in my city. He said he ordered all those items from amazon. He used them for 3 years. From what it looks it seems he is a graphic designer and do some 3d stuff.

So my question is. Should I buy it for gaming and general use? I know its an overkill but for that price it might be better then buying a x3600 or a x5600.
My current system is x3770 with 16gb ddr3 ram. I also have a 1070 gpu,

Would I see any problems using it for gaming? I also wanna do some general use and some HDD recovery software to run so that extra cores might help with that.

EDIT: Added here the prices, sorry I didn't do it first I should have put it earlier.

The base system I want.
Thread ripper 16 cores 2950x + asrock taichi x399 - 722$
32 gb of ddr4 ram (single stick) - 125$
ooler master 1000 platinum modular - 188$
case lian li full tower 3 fans - 141$

These are extra he have and I consider buying.
SSD 2 sata samsung evo 860 2tb - 172$
SSD 4 pny XLRB m.2 nvme 2tb - 172$
Dell ultrasharp 2414 1080p - 157$

he have more ram but I don't need so much. So I asked him if I can buy just 32 and he agreed.

Define attractive.

What else comes with it?
Just how much is a really good price? These aren't particularly good gaming GPUs and I can't imagine anyone using HDD recovery software enough for it to matter.

Thanks guys for the replay. Here is the prices.
I converted all the prices to usd.
