Should I buy an ATI 3650?

well why not a newer option like the 4650 at least? 3650 can play crysis but not well, probably medium to low settings (about what my ol' 8600gt did).
is it for an AGP slot? could you post more info about your system please?

An old 533MHz FSB based P4 with 2GBs of ram? And you want that to play Crysis? At what resolution? I'm not sure I'd bother. It might run, but will look horrible.

nope, all i needed.

ok, how does this sound, you save up your pennies for an AGP 4650. theyre $100 but will be hella better than a 3650.
it will be cooler, use less energy too i believe, and last longer than a 3650.
(yes i know this model only has gddr2 but the chip's architecture is alot better than 3650)

He wasn't being sarcastic, that PC is barely capable of playing Crysis at any decent settings. Crysis isn't particularly fond of single core CPUs. I couldn't get past 30FPS most of the time while playing the beta on a single core, no matter what settings I ran. Stuck in my E6600 and I tripled my framerate on the same settings. That was the beta though, things may have improved since then but I'd still hesitate to run a bloated game like Crysis on a single-core.

Not just a single core, but a slow single core. Its not a newer 800MHz FSB P4 with lots of L2 Cache, its a slow ancient 533MHz P4. Throw in 2GBs of ram and a slow 3650, and I'm not sure it will play at 1024x768. (not with the detail on/up) Might handle 800x600 if Crysis even runs that low.

No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I'd be more careful voting people down if you don't understand what they are saying. Ask for clarification if you have to, but to just vote people down because you THINK they are saying something is dumb. I understand the reference to the sig, I've been thinking of removing the "demon" seeing as the site has been back for quite some time now. I doubt its going down again.
