Should i buy ES sample?

i asked once on intel community website is it a good idea too buy cheap engineering sample cpu instead of OEM. They answered that it won't work on any motherboard. But why trustworthy e-stores on ebay keep selling them? They describe thet CPU will show in the device manager and most BIOS as "genuine intel cpu 0000" which made you believe that processor will work. I'm confused

I would say no.
While they can work fine (if you get an extremely late stepping), most of them will run into potential issues, hence why there are more later revisions.
Its not worth it, nor exactly legal.

not unless you know exactly what your doing and exactly what chip to get. and for it not working that is bs some chips will only work on oem boards and some will only work on retail boards but they will all work with something

its also illegal
