Hi guys, currently i have i3-7100 with motherboard Gigabyte GA-H110M Gaming 3 and i want to upgrade my processor to i7-7700 or i7-8700. Should i spent more 200$ for i7-8700 + new motherboard or should i just buy i7-7700 and save 200$ instead ?

is difference between i7-8700 and i7-7700 that much? how much fps i7-8700 make more than i7-7700? and i dont want i7 + K because i'm not into overclocking. Thank you guys

my current specs :
Processor : i3-7100
GPU card : GTX 1060 6GB
Motherboard : GA-H110M GAMING 3
RAM : 2x4GB (8GB)

i7 8700 obviously better than i7 7700, about fps increase it depend on the game that you currently playing, it is CPU bound or GPU bound game. And depend the game optimized to use more than 4 core or not. CPU not always affecting fps increase there's a lot of factor.

If you are using your system mainly for gaming go with the i7-7700.
With your current setup you won't see a difference between the two.
8GB is still find for gaming.
You just have to be aware that there isn't an upgrade path after that, since that is the top of the 7th gen CPUs.
If you go with the 8th gen Intel CPU, you will have a bit of future upgrade path, but you will have to spend more.

i7 7700 would handle those game pretty well. You might need to add more RAM to your system.

You should go with the 7th gen and save your money for a future build.
PUBG could benefit from more RAM, specially if you leave programs open while gaming.
