Hello guys, I am Sandeep. Guys if possible please help me to figure out the problem with my system.

I recently upgraded my system with the following configuration. The problem now is my system restarts as and when it likes. Sometime after restarting the monitor won’t be getting any signal too. As of now for small works like browsing, viewing videos, etc my system is ok for some 30 to 45 min after which it will restart (sometimes with display/ sometimes without display).
Mother Board: Asrock 970 extreme 4
CPU: AMD FX8320 8-core black
GPU: AMD HD 7950 3GB Boosted card from sapphire
PSU: Techcom SMPS 600 Watt SMPS, 24 Pin, Tech-Com SSD-PSU-6001
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-C12P SE14
RAM: 1 X Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB
1 X Kingston HyperX Fury Desktop Ram 4GB DDR3 1600 Mhz CL10 PC3-12800 1600MHz 1.5v
Cabinet: Zebronics Antibiotic
HDD: Samsung 1TB
Optical Drive: Sony DVD Writer
Initially I was having Nvidia’s older graphic card, then also I was having this problem so I replace it with the above mentioned one. My PSU is having a 20+4 pin for connecting to motherboard I tried connecting 20 pin alone and also the 24pin but there is no change for my problem. One more thing is my motherboard is having 8pin socket for cpu power pin but my PSU have 4pin power cable only. As per the manual of my motherboard this was ok so I connected it as mentioned in motherboard.
Can someone help me finding the problem with my PC. Thanks in advance.

It could be because you are mixing two diff ram with each other, mixing two rams can sometimes create a unstable system, give me more details about your ram and what is their CL latencies and we'll try some adjustments , you could send me a pm too

I have tried with single ram too...but the problem remains

This doesnt make any difference....system boots...if some heavy works are given it restarts as early....mainly during gaming or some analytical calculations (ANSYS)...

How to check the motherboard?
the cpu cooler is new...i replaced my old cooler due to the mentioned problem...the new coller is running fine.

It's more than likely the very poor unstable PSU.
Get a quality power supply problem solved.

I am also thinking of replacing my psu...I am looking for this one:
CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W
Hope it will solve my problem.

I am looking at 750w due to the reason that my graphics card itself need two input power, then there are 5 fans, then the large cpu cooler, then my 8core power eating cpu itsef....

hope the above mentioned psu is good one...

Actually the problem was my power supply...I replaced my techcom 600w power supply with corsair RM750W PSU and now my system rocks.... Thank you guys for all your support...🙂

Take out the mixed RAM sticks, that's never a good idea. Different manufacturers use slightly different timings, you need them all to be the same.

1) If anything is overclocked, reduce to default clock speeds and safe voltages. Test.

2) If still crashes, Check temperatures (immediately after crashing) of the following and compare to established safe levels: mobo, RAM, GPU, CPU. If any of these are overheating, find out why and fix/replace.

3) If none are overheating, strip your system to absolute bare minimum: mobo (at default clock speed if was overclocked), 1 stick of RAM, onboard video, boot from Hiren's BootCD to avoid using SSD or HD,
http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ . Run system tests, if it crashes with this bare-minimum configuration then most likely the mobo is the main suspect.

4) If it doesnt crash, add 1 component, re-run the test until it crashes, there's your problem component. If doesn't crash, take out that component, put in 1 other one and re-test until it crashes. Repeat one by one until you've found the bad one.
