Should I buy PS4 Slim in 2021?

So, I'm from Delhi, India and I've been waiting for over a year to play games. I saved money to buy a PC at the time, but my friends suggested to get playstation as its cheaper and has impressive games, so I thought sure why not. I have been waiting during this whole pandemic for a PS5, but Sony doesn't want to restock the console no matter what (idk whats wrong with Sony other than that they're being dicks, you can check #restockps5india). Instead, they're bringing PS4 Slim... a low powered console of last gen... I wonder if I should wait (indefinitely) like i have been waiting..., or buy PS4 Slim and start playing. Will it be worth getting a PS4 in 2021? Also, will PS4 Slim run latest games that are coming on both PS5 and PS4 (like Horizon Forbidden West, Returnal, Far Cry 6, Spiderman Miles Morales, Demon Souls, God of War, Days Gone, Last of Us etc) ?

You dont want to be stuck on a older platform.
You will play 2-3 games that you like on the PS4, and then what?
I doubt the new games will have support both for PS4 and PS5.

I don't know man, they're not saying anything about restocks even after repeated requests and i'm really tired of waiting. its like a mental torture to just stay at home and do nothing...no entertainment whatsoever. Should i still wait? Sony has not said a single word about restocking ps5 ever since the global launch...but they sure brought ps4 slim....this means they just don't want to sell ps5 in India.

The PS4 has a MASSIVE library of games. If you don't need to get the newest hottest title right now theres millions of hours of entertainment on it. And there are still some titles being developed for it.

I wouldn't pay PS5 prices for a PS4 but if you want to game now, its hard to beat.

I agree with you, but the OP said that he wants to game newer titles ( like Far Cry 6 or God of War < which i assume he is reffering to the new GoW that is coming out this year) and i dont think those titles will be supported on the PS4.
