I am very excited about the new AMD CPUs, and I am going to purchase a processor from AMD.
Since I'm still on DDR3, I will need to buy a new Motherboard and RAM

I cannot buy the CPU and Motherboard yet, but I was wondering if it was a good Idea to buy some RAM now before AMD hit's the shelves.
I think PC prices may increase when AMD CPUs are released.

Would anyone think this is a good Idea?

Best Regards,
Oscar

Generally, that is a bad idea. You should buy ALL the parts around the same time.
Otherwise, if something is wrong, or they all don't quite work together, you'd be out of the typical 30 day easy return window.

My brother does have DDR4 so that I can test it with his PC, but I still think your answer is best, just in case.
