I am building my first PC, and I am confused about the processor choice. The 2700 is cheaper (14,700 INR) and has a better core count, but the 3600 (17,000 INR) has better single core performance.

I wish to game at 1080p and also edit that footage. Streaming is not likely, but at the same time, not completely off the table.
I will pair my CPU with a 1660 Super and a B450M Mortar Max, with 16GB 3000MHz Dual channel ram.
If I choose 2700, it will run hotter, and the ambient temps are already quite high (42°C, 108°F).
I originally intended to use 3600, but the prices for 2700 dropped recently and this has been enticing me.

Should I stick with 3600 or go with 2700?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Solution
I moved from a 2700x to a non-x 3600 and have found it to be as fast or faster in everything I've done. The 3600 chip offers better memory support, much larger cache size, and IPC improvements that make up for the missing slower cores found in the 2700.

Thank you so much! This has helped me a lot!
