Should I buy Samsung 960 evo 256gb m.2 ssd

Hey guys I wanted to buy Samsung 960 evo 256gb m.2 ssd for my Asus gl552vx. I wanted know if it is best buy for price or is there any other m.2 ssd available better than this one.

Well SSD prices have gone up, but at present that is a good price for a great drive.

A check of PCPartpicker shows all the prices right at that level.

Your laptop might not support m.2 pcie. Check further before buying unless u dont mind trying and rma it if it wont work.

Yeah I just bought one for my am4 MoBo with ryzen 1700. It's real fast. However it's fast in benchmarks but in real life use it just feels like any other ssd's...

They thermally throttle themselves though too. So adding a heat sink to them tends to speed them up a lot.
