Should I buy T:V for my daughter?

As many of you will know, my 7 year old has been a big fan of Tribes 2 for
some time.

She also enjoys Unreal Tournament 2004 (with bots and all gore turned off).

I don't want to buy T:V for me as it is simply too much of a departure from
my favourite - Tribes 1.

For those of you that have it, is it different enough from both Tribes 2 and
UT:2004 to warrant purchasing? Is it straight forward enough for a 7 yr old
to understand? I don't know what the alternative might be - any
suggestions?

Regards

Schrodinger

One day, while skipping through the forest, I heard the voice of
"Schrodinger" <youllhavetoask@meforit.com> coming from a tree, and
thought, "Man, this is f*ed up," but carried on the following
conversation anyway:

care you explain how this is supposed to be true, when the t1 diehards that
did nothing but flame t2 for the last 3 years love it? (hint: theres a
reason they like it)

I had my copy of T1 2 days before it was released thanks to my Sierra
rep. I played it even after T2 came out, and liked both games for
different reasons.

All 3 are good, but not for the same reasons.

Look, DEbig, I have played the demo quite a lot and it just didn't grab me.
I don't really feel the need to explain myself beyond that, but...

When I got hold of the demo for T1 all those years ago, it was really
difficult to get into. I kept on getting owned and had no idea what to do
at all. Despite this (this sort of thing would usually turn me straight off
a game) I kept on coming back and after a couple of weeks I actively had to
seek the game out before buying it. I have no desire to play T:V at all. I
even uninstalled the demo. I don't know why.

I am asking you lot, however, because I know my daughter will just say she
wants the game no matter what it's like.

First you have to understand DEbig3 is an ass :). He never answer your
question and always comes up with some way to try to make you seem dumb. I
have played tribes since tribes 1came out. The single player game is
pretty. I really like T:V I just wish it had more players on the servers.
Goto gamerankings.com and you can read more reviews and get a better feel
for the game.

Yeah, they have short attention spans.
