So i have a r5 2600 (NO OC) with 16gig ram with 550watts 80+ bronze psu.
Currently i am using Rx 570 but it was used for mining as i bought it from aliexpress and overclocking on this card just messes up everything plus the temps stay at 90c when on load.
I am considering to upgrade gpu to gtx 1660 series maybe super one but got confused again as i have a 75hz freesync monitor (48-75) freesync range.
I thought of the rx 550xt as if i use freesync most games will be capped to max 73-74 fps but i don't know if rx5500xt will be a good buy for atleast 1 year.
So i just want some suggestions on choosing between them as i also saw nvidia supports freesync now but i guess not over hdmi and my monitor doesn't have a display port so i will be using hdmi only.
In my country pricing under my budget only 4gb version of rx5500xt is available but i can have either a gtx 1660 or the super variant under my budget easily so which one should i go for..
and also how much difference is there b/w the 1660 and the super one as normal 1660 will save me some more money compared to super variant.

Solution
What resolution is your monitor? This is what matters when it comes to what graphics card to choose, along with how demanding the specific types of games you tend to play generally are.
1080p resolution
Plus i want to know if 1660 series will be able to utilize freesync with hdmi as my monitor only has vga and hdmi port

Solution
If you wait for the next best thing, you will wait forever.
If you have a need now, buy now.

freesync, g.sync and similar are means to match a disconnect between the frame generating capability of the cpu/gpu and the frame presentation rate of the monitor.
Modern buffering techniques can do most of this.
Here is an older article that addresses the issues.
