should i buy the gtx 650 ti 1GB for basic gaming ?

im a newbie to building a PC or buying parts and i have a pretty old machine that has an i3 -2100 at 3 ghz and 2 GB ram and 450 watt PSU so should i buy this card (Zotac Nvidia GTX 650 ti 1 GB DDR5 ) and will it bottleneck on my system ? i just want to play all the recent games at medium settings so the fps is a higher priority as compared to the quality of the graphics also i don't exactly know which motherboard i have it looks like a Intel G series desktop board so please help me with this ASAP !! thank you

It's a good basic card yes. Another option that would work well would be a GTX 750 as it's very low power draw is good for small/old PSU's

well i have a 21 inch samsung monitor and my budget is around 10000 Indian rupees thats around 160 $ plus its a little costly here in India so this card was reccomended to me by most people and as i said in my post that i want better performance than quality on all the games

Anything more powerful than an R9 270 will probably be bottlenecked by your PC anyway. Do you know the make and model of your PSU? If it's something like an iBall or Zebronics you're definitely best getting the GTX 750

yea i definitely have a local brand PSU thats why i needed help cose dont want to spend on a PSU just because my GPU needs more power so its better if i had a low power GPU so the 750 ti 2GB is fine then ?

what about the zotac version ? it requires a 400W PSU and i have a 450W so will that work too ?

Any manufacturer's version of a GTX 750 or 750 Ti will be OK. Pick the one you can afford with 2Gb of ram and the best customer reviews!

EDIT. Also whilst 400W is ideal for a GTX 750, Nvidia actually only recommend 300W so with 450W you're good to go

Again, 750/750 ti is your best bet and I recommended them strictly because of your basic machine. They are exactly made for those types of builds.
