[SOLVED] Should I buy the i7-10700f

I just read the i7-10700 review and it is a beast at both gaming and productivity, especially with tweaked settings. Should I buy the i7-10700f(which has no iGPU but is cheaper)?

You mean the “K”, the jailbroken one, right? The “F” only saves you ~20$ and on chip GPU is a nice to have.

Decide on how much that savings is worth to you. You may never have occasion to need the igpu, but then again if the gpu needs warranty service, dies outright, has funky driver issues requiring total uninstall, whatever, then what do you do?

At a very minimum you could pull the gpu, and use the igpu to keep the pc running, deal with documents, windows etc. Without it, you are dead in the water.

So just how much is that insurance worth?

Well AMD processors don't have integrated graphics(except the APUs) and their consumers seem to be doing fine.

But if AMD had offered models with built in integrated graphics for an extra $20, I'd opt for one.
