Rn i have a working build with:

Motherboard: Z790 Tomahawk
CPU: 13700k
GPU: 4080 Super
RAM: 32GB DDR5

I saw the price of the MSI Z690 ACE come down to 210 and i love the look and size of this board compared to my Tomahawk. Its a jump down to Z690 from Z790 but afaik I'm not losing anything, It has bios flashback so i am good on that, and PCIe5. I would be saving 20-30 after tax compared to my Tomahawk. Those who know more if i buy this, am I making a stupid decision? I dont see myself upgrading for years.

Sounds like you want to do this but are worried about mistakes? There aren't any. The more modern board isn't that much superior, or at all depending on specs that really matter to you.

For saving money, this is a little bit silly but if you want that board then take it, because you're losing nothing.

For sanity, check the RAM kit is listed as compatible on the QVL. If it is, go ahead.

Saving $20 is not worth the hassle.

Ehh i think i will deal with that cause i cant get over how good it looks without rgb!

Will do! also do u know if other ppl can edit ur post cause I think someone edited min lol. I am glad there are no mistaked cause i saw z790 was a tiny refresh of z690 with not that much gains that matter to a gamer like me (compared to a heavy oc'er then it matters)
