Should i buy this GPU?

So i saw an interesting craigslist offer. A KFA2 GTX 1070 with a problem for a really low price. The seller describes its problem like this - it is showing gray screen(think its a grey screen crash). Also says the system detects it and he can install the drivers. LEDs and fans are all working. He is stating that he tried a bios overwrite but that didnt change anything.
My question to you is, has anyone had this problem and is it solveable or i should just avoid the offer? Thanks in advance.

unless you know how to fix it leave it alone I would not touch it any way the 1180 and 1170 will be released in 1month and there will be lots of 1070s and 1080s for sale I would wait like me.

I surely dont know, never faced it before, just wondering if it may be a small bug which can be hotfixed or i should just pass. Since im not in a hurry for a new gpu im just checking if prices are going up or down.

What's interesting is that the GTX 1070 was released in June of 2016, and KFA has a warranty period of 2 years: http://www.kfa2.com/kfa2/support

I wonder why the original owner didn't simply submit a RMA request to the company. I'm also curious if the owner's attempt to overwrite the BIOS has invalidated the warranty.

Just to reiterate, I recommend that you do not purchase this card.
