i've been looking into building a $400-$440 gaming pc that can play most f2p and older games at medium-ish settings. so far what i came up with is:

Intel pentium g860 3.0ghz 68$

Keep in mind i do not want to use AMD Cpus, and im trying to maximize gaming performance with this build while still being able to upgrade to other lga1155 cpus. early next year. Your advice is appreciated!

alright! what is the real problem with the cheaper psu's? do they just die out or..?

They die early , don't run at all , or damage your other components.Don't go too cheap on the PSU it's the heart of your system.

Ive changed the cpu to the Corsair CX 430w 80+ bronze. What about the cpu or gpu? is there any other options within the same price that will give me more performance?
