Should i change CPU in laptop to increase performance?

I have a Toshiba satellite c55 a 19n and i relised that my laptop has not soldered CPU. I consider replacing my i3 3110m to i5 3380m or i7 3520m.

Does it worth it or should i buy a new laptop with better CPU instead?

All those CPUs should fit in the socket.

In theory it should work, but contact toshiba, they should know more about upgrade path, cause some report it works, some report it doesnt , its 50%/50%.
Then you have to swap your cooling solution if it isnt enough for your CPU.

If you want to make your Laptop faster, change the HDD to an SSD - you would be amazed by this.

You will feel the effects more than changing the CPU.

A HDD in your laptop transfers KB's to low MB's when booting up and real access times are slow and clumsy.
With SSD its super fast, seriously, I have upgraded many laptops with SSD and every one loves it.
