I currently have £150. initially i was looking at the FX-8350 as my currenct cpu may be bottlenecking. i then got asked by a friend why didn't i just sell my current cpu and mother board and switch to intel which is without a doubt faster. My question is how should i try to stop the bottleneck of my current cpu on games like BF4 so i don't have to purchase anything new, what would i have to do in order to change from amd to intel? How hard would it be? and what is an ideal motherboard and cpu for my system? also how much gain would i get with the FX-8350 and will it be future proof?

System Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 @4.2Ghz
Asus R9 280X
8Gb Ram
600W FPS 80+ PSU
Corsair H60 water cooler
Cooler master HAF 932X Full tower

If you are looking for gaming, I suggest you to go with FX 6300. It is better for gaming.
Also changing the tag to CPU
If you wish to move to Intel you have to get a new mother board, if you want to stick with AMD you can go for FX 6300.

There's The Difference Btw FX 8350 And i5 4670

http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4670K-vs-AMD-FX-8350

As U Can See I5 Beats The Shit Out Of FX In Every Aspect And Is Future Proof

U Cant Go Wrong With It

As For The Upgrading Or Converting From AMD To Intel All U have To Do Is Just Buy The CPU And Mother Board

Your Corsair H60 water cooler + FX-8320 is a great combo for BF4.

So the i5 beat the FX-8350 in one score according to the link you posted,Single-core Performance, and you call that "Beats The Shit Out Of FX"? How many games do you play today that only use one core? Fact is the FX-8350 is a very good gaming CPU and can keep up with my i5 in every game I have played no problem.

If your motherboard can handle the FX-63xx or FX-83xx CPU's that would be your best upgrade path and will give you all the CPU performance for gaming that you would need. You did not list your motherboard make/model so it is hard to say for sure.
