I'll explain a little elaborated so that i can explain myself clearly. I was facing problem when launching GTA5 Online, there was a problem of authentication, so i had to use VPN every time. Yesterday i found out that Rockstar servers might have blocked the IPv4 of my ISP(Jiofiber from India) thats why i face that problem. I found a solution online, logged in into my Jiofiber Router's setting, went to WAN and changed the default IPv4 DNS of my ISP to google's DNS i.e 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4! Now the problem i was facing was resolved, i was wondering if i should also put Google's DNS in my Network Adapters also? (Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections)... or changing the DNS from any of the two i have mentioned gets the things done? Please give me few more tips, like Is using Google DNS safe as my Dafault ISP's DNS? Is there any danger? Can anyone steal my banking passwords etc? Should i also Change my IPv6 to Google's IPv6? What changes would switching to Google's IPv6 do?

Solution
Of course, since it worked you should use the Google Public DNS, I have been using it for a long time. My ISP has very poor DNS servers. If IPv4 is working fine, it doesn't matter if you change the IPv6 version that may not even be used by your ISP.

It all depends who you want collecting data. It really isn't a huge security exposure to use any particular DNS. I don't know why using a different DNS server fixed your problem. Your IP address is still the same and if they blocked your IP it should still be blocked. What using a different DNS does is it lets you connect to a different server in the game comapnies network still using your same IP address as the source. For some reason the different server in the vendor pool of servers does not block you.

DNS is used to track usage and it is easiest when you directly use the ISP DNS server. Still even if you use say google the DNS traffic is not encrypted so the ISP can spy on the DNS requests you send to google to get the same information it is just more work. Of course you are now giving your data to the worst offender of data collection....but then again that is why google DNS is free.

You can use cloudflare instead at 1.1.1.1. This for many browsers and soon to be win10 itself uses a encrypted DNS. The mean only cloudflare has the ability to collect data.

The best solution for a small number of ip addresses you are having DNS issues with is to not use DNS at all. You can put manual entries into a file called HOSTS on your machine. This overrides any DNS for those domains you put in.

Yes even i dont understand why changing IPv4 resolves the issue of GTA5 online! May be rockstar doesnt have servers in India? well, thats highly unlikely. I also found out that this problem persists with only my ISP. people with other ISPs dont face this problem. even connecting my pc through my mobile's hotspot resolved the problem. Using a VPN Would solve the problem but i didnt want to open VPN every time before launching the game, not to mention the slow speed that occurs due to VPN.

I used cloudflare's DNS but i felt that it was little slower than Google.
