i built a pc a while ago with these specs
intel core i7-3770 CPU 3.40 GHz
8gb ram
nvidia geforce gtx 1050ti
mother board: ASRock - P65iCafe
1tb hard disk + 256 ssd

and i feel like the 3rd gen processor is not that good so is it worth changing the processor, and into which processor

Solution
A 3770 +1050TI is a pretty well balanced pairing. What do you use the system for? I assume gaming?

Although 3rd Gen, the 3770 is still a respectable CPU and could pair reasonably well with stronger GPUs (probably up to a 1070 IMO).

If for gaming, there's nothing I'd feel the need to rush out and change currently.

The 3770 is good enough for a GTX 1080 in my opinion. While the 3770K overclocked to the max could reasonably handle a GTX 1080 ti. Really either could handle a GTX 1080 ti at 4K ultra settings. The GTX 1050 ti is only a small fraction of the graphics card that the 1080 ti is.
