Hello, So i wanted to buy a new laptop on a budget.
I search on my country online shop and i found two laptop that have really value with similar price but with different spec.
The first one is a ryzen 4600H with a nvidia 1650 and the second one is a ryzen 3750H with nvidia 1660 ti
I read on the user benchmark site and it stated that a ryzen 3750H will bottleneck a 1660 ti
only for cheap gpus 1050 ti\1650. bottleneck 1660 ti and 2060 , zen + 8 thread garbage
but in quora people are saying that the 1660 ti are better than 1650
Will a bottlenecked 1660 ti be better than a 1650?
the price difference isn't that big only 1M IDR which is only $69
Which should i choose?

Your first link does not show a 4600H processor.

If you play fast action games, pick the unit with the stronger 1660ti graphics.
If you play cpu centric games such as sims, mmo and strategy then pick the stronger 4600H cpu unit.

I would not buy either unless you plan on upgrading the ram to 16gb.

Also, be prepared to be disappointed,
I see many complaints about gaming laptops not performing well.
Usually gaming while plugged in.
One common cause is thermal throttling.
Laptop coolers must, of necessity be small and light.
The coolers are also relatively underpowered.

Just as a guess, the lenovo units may have better ventilated coolers.

are the 3750H+1660 ti going to have better fps compared to 5600H+1650 if i play csgo, minecraft java, forza horizon?
1660 ti seems to always have 50% better fps compared to 1650 but i worried if the 3750H is going to bottleneck it

also, from your answer

does that mean i'm going to have worse temps with the asus tuf compared to the lenovo legion 5?

The 5600H is a slightly stronger processor than the 3750H.
That is good for cpu centric games like csgo.
OTOH, fast graphics is always good.
Too bad that you can't try out each one to decide.
As to heat, I suggest you try to find reviews of the exact unit you are looking for.

Alright, after watching gaming benchmark it seems like 3750H is enough for cpu bound games like csgo
But on many gpu bound game it seems like cpu power isn't as important as gpu power.
Also, it seems that the 1650 vram is a big bottleneck for games like control and the fps from 1650 bad compared to 1660 ti
Then would the extra $69 be worth the improvement since i wanted to use this laptop untill 2024?

There are two laptop components that generate the most heat, the cpu and the graphics chip.
A 3080 chip is a stronger performer, but is also hotter.
On the cpu side, there is some good news. The more current gen products are more efficient per clock and will use a smaller/less power hungry technology.

Buy a current gen laptop and temper your expectations.
You can always cut back on cpu heat by reducing the max performance in windows power management.
Reduce the default 100% high cpu performance from the default to perhaps 80% and use a balanced profile. A balanced constant 80% is playable while a yoyo between 20% and 100% is not.
