Should I Choose AHCI or RAID For My New Build?

Hey everyone

I just finished putting the parts together for my new computer and now it's time to put the OS (Win 10 64) on. I know that one setting in BIOS that should be configured correctly is whether to choose AHCI or RAID. I did a little research on them but I am still a bit confused about what they are and which I should choose. I will be having 3 SSD's and maybe adding a HDD later. I will be gaming and doing video editing on this computer along with other basic uses such as web browsing. I would appreciate it if someone can help me choose which to pick before I do my installation. Also, I am not a pro at this, but is there any other settings in BIOS I should adjust before installing the OS?

Thanks

RAID (Redundant array of independent disks) is when you want to either mirror another SSD for backup purposes or want to make all your drives into 1 big drive (there are other forms of RAID but these are the basic two)
AHCI is used for when you want all the drives to be seen as separate - this is the normal setting, I would suggest this

Some motherboards may also have IDE but that is legacy now and unlikely to be on a new motherboard. It was the way really old hard drives connected.

this is likely to be only setting you need to change in BIOS before installing Win 10, and in most cases I would leave it as AHCI for best speed on the ssd
