i got a full EK waterblock for my 760gtx and a back plate and inspecting the back i found this chip that reads ncp5392p r1325g. i was wondering should i put a thermal pad and cool that too?

No nvidia GTX 760s have memory chips on the back and front of the PCB. you can see there is four up front and in back from the blank spots

it doesnt look like any of the gtx760's have heatsinks applied to the back side at all so you are likely fine.

if you plan on overclocking the card and have already bought a bunch of memory heatsinks to stick on the front side... then it certainly isnt going to hurt putting them on the backside.

looking at the heatsink configuration of a stock card though.... since there is nothing on the back i would say its optional. (at least on the backside).

i have this right here

it goes on top of the back of the card and cools the memory chips but what im wondering is what that chip is and does it heat up and is it worth cooling
