Should I create a disc partition on my SSD?

Hi, I just built my first PC, and I installed Windows 10 to my SSD, which came with 240 GB. Most of my SSD is unused, and I had heard of disc partitioning. My SSD already has all of the Windows 10 folders in it, so I was wondering:

would it be bad to have all of those folders there and add my own personal stuff to the drive?
is it possible to create a disc partition on my drive?

Yes, install your applications to the SSD as well. Having them there is one of the main benefits of having the SSD.

If you want your other stuff to go on the HDD, read this:
Win 7 & 8: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1834397/ssd-redirecting-static-files.html
Win 8.1 & 10: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/windows-redirecting-folders-drives.html

I have a 1 TB hard drive. What I wanted to do was put applications on my SSD as well as Windows. Can I just add the applications to the SSD (of course, all of the Windows files would be in there too)?
