Hello Guys and Ladies. Recently I have had 2 power surges caused by my power supply unit.
I have a Corsair CX 500m PSU. I read on another posting that disabling the Asus Anti Surge should help But I'm hesitant as I do not want to Damage My System as I have also recently Upgraded my RAM, And Processor from 4GB Ram and a Intel Pentium Dual Core to: System and it cost me quite a bit. Specs: OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Ram: 8GB Corsair Vengeance
Processor: Intel Quad Core I5 2400s
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 240 4GB
Motherboard: ASUTEK P8H61-MX USB3
Power Supply Unit: Corsair CX 500M.

Will I need to buy a new Power supply unit? I can on Tuesday Night. If so can you recommend some reliable NOT Expensive PSU's please Links please bearing in mind I am in The UK

before you spend money on a new unit..use the vendor warraty and rma check to see if the old unit is under warranty. if it is you can ask the vendor to do an advance replacement. they send you a replacment power supply and if you dont send the old one back they charge your cc a fee for the unit they shipped.

Only happened when I am in games. And the Psu is quite old so I have lost the receipt for it but I could try and make some calls to track where I bought it from. what do you guys think
