Should I double my ram?

I'm currently running 4 gigs of ddr2 800. Would it be worth it for me to spend about $200 to go up to 8 gigs of ddr2 1066. I mainly use my computer for gaming, would that extra ram make a difference? Or would I just be wasting money?

I say you would be wasting money. If you want more fps than put that $200 towards better gfx card, SSD drive would get you quicker loading times. IMO 4gb for gaming rig is plenty and upgrade to 8 would change nothing. Post your full specs and what operating system you have.

Thanks for your answer, I'm actually going to be upgrading my gfx card and cpu in the next few months. I was just wondering if I should go ahead and upgrade my ram while I was at it. I think I'll stick with the 4 gigs though.
