I recently (today) ordered a new pc, the specs are as followed
R7 5800x3d
Asus rog strix b550 mobo
32 gigs mushkin 3600 cl16
1tb nvme os drive @ 5,200
2tb game nvme drive @7,400
Artic 360 aio
Asus ko 3060ti 8gb oc (lhr) don't know if lhr makes a difference
Thermaltake TP GF3 850w psu
Nzxt h7 flow case
Right now I have an Asus Tuff 27" 144hrtz 1440 p monitor for games

Should I downgrade to a 1080p monitor for a higher refresh rate (240)? I was told a 3060ti isn't a good 2 k card. I don't have the pc yet its gotta get built so I don't know what kinda frames I'll be getting at 1440 but I want to be ready for when the pc does come, i can't afford a 1440p 240hrtz probably gonna be tight on the 1080 if I have to go that route as I'm disabled.

Don't know if this is the right spot for this question as it involves system and monitor so I apologize if not.

I already have an Asus Tuf 144hrtz 1440p my question was will the 3060ti be okay to have at 1440p or do I need to downgrade to a 1080
Dude you already have the monitor, have the PC on order, what are you so stressed over? Use it and if your not happy then lower the in game settings or get a 1080p monitor!!!!!!!

This is not rocket science.

Isn't this a place to get advice? If not my bad

I'm not persay worried it's I'm disabled and what i just spent Is a lot of money for me and I was told AFTER I purchased the pc that the 3060ti isn't a good 2k card so im here just asking questions. If it Doesn't perform I'll take what I get from selling the current pc I have and upgrade either the gpu or the monitor

Yes you get advice but if you already own things why not try them out first?
What I gave you was advice. Without knowing every possible thing about your PC ,background programs running, the exact game, the exact in game settings that is all you can get but you will never get a 100% accurate answer till you try it.

EDIT you can get to a point where your CPU is the limiting factor for your FPS no matter what resolution you play at.

Good choice on the X3D chip. If I were you I would have gone with an AMD card, a 6700XT for instance, but it's your money.

Don't worry about getting another monitor, just dabble a bit with each game's settings and you'll get at least 90fps on any title.

Also, I recommend not going over 120Hz, you won't notice any difference with higher rates.

I am disabled so i couldn't afford a gpu so I had to use what i already had which was the 3060ti, I did future proof the pc by getting an atx3.0 psu so if I get a 40's series down the road i don't have to use splitters, I'm not an AMD gpu fan to be fair I've always had Nvidia , I hope i get more than 90 fps especially in wz frames is a huge factor in first person shooters, but wz is kinda in the way of its horrible to play right now and once 10.1 comes out on wow (tomorrow, but the raid opens next week) i don't have the new pc by then but this pc runs wow decent for wow being 22 years old with a horrible outdated gaming engine, I won't be on wz after the raid hits, I get way too high fos on wow outside of raids I cap it at 125 or it gets to 300 but in raid Cause its so horrible optimized and outdated I dip to 60 and have huge stutters

The 3060Ti should hold you for a while so you can save up for an upgrade. Good call on the PSU and,If you're talking about WZ 2.0 then yes, it's quite heavier to run than 2019 WZ, I can barely hold 60fps at 1080p on the high settings or whatever they're called.
