Should i downgrade to Windows 8.1 on my laptop?

It's an ACER ASPIRE E1 571 laptop from mid 2012, it orginally came with Windows 8, Currently it runs Windows 10, which i have clean installed 4 times now, because over time it slows down, it becomes laggy and unresponsive, i have to wait 5 minutes after boot so that it becomes a bit responsive. Windows 8.1 i had no issues. It feels like game performance has slowed down as well on windows 10.

I have tried defragging, adjusting windows for best performance.... it improves slightly but its not as fast as windows 8.1. Also i hate the spying, bloatware, the ads on windows 10 and all these Windows apps like Xbox, netflix... i was also recommended to install an SSD into my Laptop but i can't afford one right now. So is it worth downgrading to windows 8.1?

Intel hd graphics 4000
12 gb ram
700gb HDD

you can try it yourself and see

your harddisk could be dying as well .. my notebook Harddisk never lived more than 5 years in my life experience , because unless it is a business grade notebook , they never put expensive harddisks in there , only cheap ones. .

i was also recommended to install an SSD into my Laptop but i can't afford one right now.

That's a good advice. It will improve responsiveness of your laptop significantly.
Save up some money and upgrade to SSD.

Yeah Windows 10 constantly shows the HDD at 100% disk usage, but it was never shown on windows 8.1, so i will downgrade to windows 8.1
