Should i enable turbo core performance boost?

ok so firstly i have the amd athlon x4 750k.there are 2 feautures in my bios.one called "core performance boost" which is set in auto and one called "turbo core performance boost" which is disabled.my cpu while in full load goes at 3.7ghz cuz of the core performance boost . but in the box of the cpu it says max turbo 4.0ghz...if i enable the turbo performance boost will my cpu go to 4.0ghz in full load?will it give me better performance if i do it ?

Yes, you should see a slight improvement in terms of speed.

Keep in mind though, your cpu will not run at 4ghz 24/7. It will be boosted to 4ghz when needed.

For example, your rendering a car model and its using, say 97% load, the cpu will boost to 4ghz and you will see a increase in performance.

However, if your just browsing the internet and doing light tasks at low load, it will not boost up to 4ghz.


But to answer your question, turning it on will enable a maximum clock speed of 4ghz.
