I've had this GTX 770 2GB for a few months now and I absolutely love the performance this GPU gives me, but however I was given the opportunity to trade this card for a brand new R9 290 reference card. Is it honestly worth it? I wouldn't doubt its more powerful, but will it last as long? Does the R9 290 have issues? The only reason I find it a worthy trade is for the slight performance and more VRAM.
Help!

if you run a 1440p/1600p monitor or just multiple monitors you can use more than 2gb on modern games... battlefield 4 for example... for 1080p 2gb is totally fine, unless you do crazy skyrim mods... and the king of non-optimization called watchdogs can also use around 3 gigs if im not mistaken

My Specs :
GTX 770 2GB
i7-4770k
8GB Patriot Viper 2133 RAM
Biostar z87X 3d Mobo
750 watt PSU
ASUS 27" 1080p

I will highly suggest you to get the R9 290 even if it generate a much heat it will really astonish you with it's performance. I am currently using a R9 280X and it really surprise me with it performance. For heat reduction I would recommended you a cooler with your CPU it will really work well. R9 270 is with mantle mantle is now supported in many games as well so it will even out perform even higher end GPU.And also it is better than the GTX 770. So it is up to you to decide now.

gtx 770 trade blows with 280x... 270x is slow in comparison
