Should I expect a performance decease when I switch to 1080p?

So I've been playing no higher than 1280x1024 resolution because that's the highest my screen goes, should I expect a performance decrease when I start to game at 1080x1920? At my current resolution I can max out just about all of my games at max settings.

My specs:
AMD A10-7860K @ 4.2 Ghz
Radeon XFX R7 370 2GB Memory @ 1600 Mhz and Core @ 1225 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM

You'll see a decrease, yes. You won't be maxing your games out anymore.

Will say though, it depends what games you're talking about. If it's something like GTA, yeah you won't max it. If it's lower stress Indie games, you very well could. Depends on the age of the game/how well deved it is. As a general rule, you won't be.
