Should I format disc prior to moving

I am moving a W7 Home hard disk from my old PC to a new one running W7 Pro as an additional disk. Do I need to format it in the old PC prior to removal or can I wait until it is in the new PC

You can format it in disk management on the new PC, just make sure in your BIOS your new PC's hard drive is at the top of the boot priority.
