I have in the past always used my GPU tell it died completely, which thus the reason of the purchase of the R9 390 a little over a year ago on my current PC. I bought the R9 390 because it was displayed on a budget 4k pc build that got decent fps in most of the games i play, but since buying the card and finally buying a 4k monitor. I have found that the fps are not even close to the same performance i was expecting in some of the games i play the most. Im only getting around 10-20fps in the games i play often in 4k.

With the price of used r9 390's sitting around 100-150 on ebay, should i buy a 2nd one since my motherboard supports 2 cards or sell the one i have and buy something to replace it?

if ur psu can support the power requirements and make sure that ur psu is really a good one, i would definitely recommend crossfiring that r9 390. the r9 390 performs better than a rx480 and crossfiring rx480 puts it between a 1070 and 1080. so with r9 390 cfx u should be close to 1080's performance ;)

I would have to upgrade to a newer larger power supply, the one i have is pretty old and only rated at 850watts. I have been contemplating upgrading power supplies anyways, because i recently have had an issue with a ringing in my audio on any amplified speakers i plug into the computer, have tried using the stock onboard and the sound card and they both cause the ringing noise

+Storx Don't crossfire two R9 390's. You won't want to deal with the excess heat or demands on your power supply. Wait for next week when Nvidia drops prices on their Pascal line of GPUs, which should prompt AMD to follow suit. Either: (1) sell one R9 390 and buy two RX 480s, or (2) sell one R9 390 and buy one GTX 1070 (~$350) or 1080 ($499). Personally I'd go for the single GTX 1070.
