oops, its a i5-7500 (3.4Ghz) GTX 1060 6gb, 8gb 2400 ram here is link https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QxG9LD

The GPU is a solid 1080p card. Cranking the resolution up to 1440p will cause it to lose a step.

If you intend to stick with the GTX 1060 for awhile, I would go 1080p.

No, i intend on 1080p, i know thats what its for, I was asking if it was worth it to go 144 fps (monitor)

Derp, lost my reading comprehension.

After experiencing 144hz I think it's worth it. Granted I may never reach 144hz in most the games I play (even with a GTX 980 ti), the extra smoothness you can get from a 144hz monitor is great.
